Our stage band is the Twisty River Band. This group has played all over New Orleans, from riverboats on the Mississippi to the finest ballrooms in town, from Mardi Gras parade floats to large convention centers. We can play the greatest hits of jazz and we are often asked to play pop tunes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Our specialty, however, is New Orleans music. We can play the greatest songs ever to come out of New Orleans, and songs that were made famous by the pioneers of early jazz.
We take our music very seriously, as it is not just our jobs but our way of life. Our show is polished and well received. However, our greatest ability lies in our talent for offering the best entertainment for the particular event, audience, and venue. The show we play at the Spotted Cat (on Frenchmen Street) will be different from the more sophisticated Jazz Playhouse (on Bourbon Street). The dinner aboard the Steamer Natchez demands a different approach than the outdoor stage in the French Quarter Festival.
As you can see, the performances we offer are custom tailored for your event. The size of the group, style of music we play, attire, and duration of the show can all be discussed and arranged based on your needs. We can provide our own sound equipment as well, from small to large, depending on the size of the room and audience.
